Jaundice = Sad Foot

Carlee was a little jaundice when we left the hospital, so we had to go to the doctor for blood work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Finally on Thursday she was cleared. In order to test for jaundice they pricked her foot and scraped until they had enough blood to test. The below pics are how they bandaged her foot, so I started calling it her Sad Foot.

Week of Firsts

First night at home Carlee slept mostly on Daddy's chest.

First trip to the doctor.

First manicure.
CeCe stayed to help Mommy and Daddy the first week at home.

First visit from Aunt Brittney.

May 20, 2011

After months of waiting, Carlee arrived at 4:03 PM on May 20. The day was very surreal. First of all I had a scheduled C-Section, so the doctor told me to pick a day. That is something that I did not expect, being able to pick my child's birthday. So, when I picked Monday May 23 for several reasons and the hospital was overbooked, I schedule her big day for Friday May 20. I also realized that that was when someone else planned on her arriving and that all of my reasons really were quite silly and did not matter.

The morning of on our way to the hospital.

After hours of waiting here she is! C-Section was originally scheduled for 10, but I kept getting bumped to later in the day.

Such a sweet girl and so beautiful!

Mommy and Daddy are so proud!

Headed home!

Nesting

I have been nesting like crazy and in particular I have been wanting to be very crafty and do everything myself. Below are a couple of projects that I have completed. The first project is a Hair-bow Holder. I know I have seen these on other blogs and it was so easy. I had the frame (it was saved from one of my parent's yard sales) and the ribbon was $4 at Hobby Lobby (I caught it 50% off).

The second is a Valentine Wreath. I used a metal wreath form (~$3) and 3 packages of Valentine themed garland ($.50 each at Dirt Cheap), so total project cost ~$5.
